Forensic Photography

Since the onset of high resolution digital photography photo documentation of forensic traces on the surface of evidences or exhibits is continuously growing and developing into new areas. Photographic methods are contact free and are allowing direct import of e.g. finger prints into your local finger print identification data base. Furthermore a forensic trace may be further processes (e.g. with genetic analysis) after its photographic conservation.

ForensiScan is a high resolution digital scanner which significantly simplies photo documentation of forensic traces on cylindrical, curved or highly reflecting exhibits. Due to its open design a huge variety of forensic evidence can be examined. Bottles, ampoules, bullets and bullet casings, CDs, Mirrors, Chip and Credit Cards and even plastic or aluminium foils have succesfully been investigated.
